Turkey Calling Tips – How to Sound Like a Live Hen

Hunting pressured turkeys can be very challenging. The best way to coax wary toms in range is by sounding exactly like a live hen. In this episode, we’ll show you footage of a live hen and explain the difference in a variation of calls. Then, we’ll teach you how to sound just like her!

Try some of these calls by foxpro, decently easy to blow and honestly the best mouth calls I've found for the sound quality and money.

I just want to come back to this page and thank the guy in this video. It stepped up my turkey game and because of that I was able to take my cousin out on his first ever turkey hunt and he walked away with a bird on his back. Great video to learn from

Thanks for the video. It helped me bag a nice Tom today. Had a situation with an aggressive hen in the area and remembered this video. Increased my calling intensity and sealed the deal.

This is so offensive. How would you like to be just living out in nature and something comes and kills you for fun?

Actually that's the mature hen of the area trying to figure out the situation. Next hen is also trying to figure out the situation and is alarmed

Someone told me that the cluck/ purr was a sound the hen makes when she’s not happy? Maybe she saw something or heard something that she does not like. Anyone?

Nice Video but never rest your barrel on your shooting stick when taking a shot always the forearm. He didn't shoot the turkey that way and he didn't use the stick. Why???
